The ODE Book Club is dedicated to selecting, reading, evaluating, and discussing multicultural literature that educates, motivates and holds Multnomah County employees to ensuring access, equity, and inclusion in its services, policies, practices, and procedures.
We meet the third Wednesday of every month at 11:30am to 12:30pm in the Multnomah Building. See our current events for meeting rooms.
If you cannot attend in person you can participate online in two places.

Multicultural Music and Food Festival and Parade: Good in the Neighborhood

The Good-in-the-Neighborhood is a multicultural music and food festival held annually in N/NE Portland.
The festival features the best entertainment in the NW, a variety of cultural food vendors, an Information Village, a KidSpace arts & craft area, and an Ethnic Marketplace.
Our mission is to promote the cultural aspects of the N/NE community. We are celebrating over 18 years of attracting thousands of residents from neighborhoods throughout Portland.
Hands Across the Hawthorne Bridge

On Sunday, May 29, 2011, starting at 7:30pm, friends of the LGBTQ community will gather at the west end of Portland’s Hawthorne Bridge and form a human chain across the bridge, in an event that is being dubbed “Hands Across Hawthorne Bridge,” in response to the assault below.

Please join Multnomah County's PRISM, a full spectrum employee resource group, in declaring June 2011 as Pride Month at the board meeting next Thursday, June 2nd.
The board of Pride Northwest has chosen "Make it Happen!" as the theme for this year's Pride Month to recognize that 'each of us has the power to effect change in our own lives and to make a difference in the lives of others."
