Quick start instructions
PST migration requires a Google built migration tool. This migration tool was sent remotely to your PC. Please follow the instructions below.
When you are ready to start migrating your archives, go to Start >> All Programs >> Google Apps Migration >> Google Apps Migration for Microsoft Outlook (or, GAMMO).
When you find this program, click on it to start it running. You should see the following instructions:

1. Enter your multco.us or multcolib.org email address (e.g. firstname.lastname@multco.us) and your Active Directory password. (same password you use to login to your computer).

2. Click the drop down menu to start the process of selecting your PST file. IMPORTANT: MAKE SURE YOU SELECT "From PST File(s).."
3. Select the exchange your PSTs are on. (For Example H:\Exchange\Archive.pst). In some cases, your PST files may be on your C drive or other drive.

4. Select only 'Email messages'. (The image below shows additional items.) In addition, you can limit the amount of email you migrate by checking the 'migrate only email sent/received on or after' box and entering a date. You should consult the Guidelines for your Department for guidance.

The PST migration process can run in the background and you can pause and restart it. You may want to let it run over night. It will start by estimating the length of time it will take to migrate. This is just an estimate, it may take longer. After estimating the time, it will proceed with migrating your data. The process may fail or stop during the migration. You should restart it. In addition, there may be certain email that have become corrupt and may not migrate.
If you have multiple PST files, you will need to run this process for each PST that you have.
This is what migration will look like:
