CIC Diversity Workshop with Sisters Of The Road Attracts Large Crowd

Approximately 100 people from state and local governments, non-profits, and citizen advisory boards throughout the Portland metro area attended the diversity outreach training on August 11.
Read a summary of the outreach tools and strategies Sisters Of The Road (SOTR) mentioned during the presentation to reach its diverse community of customers experiencing homelessness or poverty that may be applicable to you and/or your organization. Also watch videos of the workshop, which include the presentation by SOTR Executive Director Monica Beemer and a subsequent group discussion by those in attendance.

MultCo Citizen Involvement Committee announces Sy Award winner at Annual Ceremonial Dinner

On Thursday, June 17, the Multnomah County Citizen Involvement Committee (CIC) held its annual celebration dinner. The dinner honors community members who have dedicated their time and energy as members of the CIC and Citizen Budget Advisory Committees, and those who have extensively supported the efforts of these committees. The winner of the 3rd annual Sy Award, Thach Nguyen, was recognized at the dinner.
