As a mother of a marine who only just returned from his fourth tour of duty in Iraq, I take very seriously the issues that face our service members who have returned from active duty in the armed services.
While we consistently provide support for our troops currently serving, those who have returned from service are sometimes forgotten or overlooked when they come back. As a County Commissioner I will make all my decisions with the impact on our veterans in mind.
Among the issues that I am pursing are securing stable and adequate mental and physical health benefits and easier access to county veterans’ resources, among others.
