We also want to update you on our program.  In 2008 we held a series of public meetings to explain our road responsibilities, funding, and service levels.  Public input from those meetings helped us re-prioritize our service levels. 

In the following years we’ve been able to increase some road services.  We were able to do this due to changes in service levels, cuts in administrative costs, and a six cent increase in the state gas tax.  We’ve completed several capital improvements, maintenance and pavement projects.  Most notably, last summer we completed a significant chip seal and asphalt paving program to roads in east, west and mid-county.
