More than 4,500 Multnomah County employees work daily to prevent diseases, help seniors, open libraries, plan and maintain roads, repair bridges,  inspect restaurants, enforce the law and operate the jails.

They help citizens vote, provide mental health services and find lost pets. They offer after-school programs, help at-risk youth and give immunizations to children. Meet some employees, and learn what they do, in their own words.
