The Department of County Human Services (DCHS) understands and values students and individuals who have a desire to learn, serve and provide valuable services to the community in which we live.

Volunteer and Internship Programs:
Intern programs offers exposure to the services and programs provided to our community members by DCHS. Through a variety of programs, diverse clients with diverse needs, and various operational challenges intern will be introduced to human services within the government sector. Entry level programs offer opportunities to develop or strengthen each person’s abilities in areas such as customer service, computers, problem solving, and gaining an understanding of customer needs and barriers; developing insight into the public systems opportunities and challenges
