Newly Sworn Parole and Probation Officers Join DCJ

Eight new parole and probation officers joined the ranks of the Adult Services Division in the Department of Community Justice. The swearing-in ceremony was officiated by presiding Circuit Court Judge, Jean Kerr Maurer and DCJ Assistant Director, Carl Goodman, on Wednesday, May 18, 2011.

“This was the first swearing-in ceremony that DCJ has held in over two years,” remarked Carl Goodman, Assistant Director of the Adult Services Division. “We look forward to these ceremonies because they are a formal recognition of the authority and the responsibilities that these individuals are accepting for the public good.” The swearing-in ceremonies are also a time for family, friends, and colleagues to gather and celebrate the officers’ accomplishments.
