I want to thank the voters of the Parkrose School District for their support. For the next several years we will face a financial challenge in Parkrose, and we need to make sure that:
We continue to support students of all abilities in their pursuit of an excellent eduction
New programs have been added in the past four years to support students that have never had the opportunity to attend college, and they have been successful. We need to continue these efforts. We compete in global economy, we need a world class workforce and Parkrose will continue to prepare students to meet that challenge.
Provide a wide range of learning opportunities for each student
Parkrose has begun new programs to assist students in expanding their learning, with training programs in the building trades. Parkrose has partnered with other school districts in the professional career areas of Architecture, Construction and Engineering. I will continue to support opportunities for students to obtain college credit through Advanced Placement classes, and at Mt. Hood Community College while attending Parkrose High School.
Support all instructors in their challenge to be the best for students
World class students need world class instructors, and Parkrose has world class teachers and staff. We need to support effective Professional Development of teachers and staff. We will continue to be role models for our students, to demonstrate that learning never stops, it is a life long pursuit to reach your potential, and be your best.
Your support of our schools is key to a strong democracy, and vital to our economy. Thank you for that support. Together we can continue to make Parkrose a place for world class learning. I would appreciate your vote.
