I chose to run for the Riverdale School Board because I care deeply about the education of children, our school and the community. I have lived in the district for twenty-five years, my wife Tracy and I have raised three children. All have attended Riverdale from kindergarten through eighth grade and have received an excellent education. We could not have asked for a better educational experience for our kids.

Great education happens when knowledgeable, passionate teachers are joined by parents as educational partners and supported by leadership that sets high standards and offers consistent support. Riverdale School District has consistently provided our students with an education that exemplifies this parent teacher partnership. For over one hundred years the Riverdale community has successfully supported the education of our children, consistently creating schools of excellence. The most important resource Riverdale School District has is our long tradition of united community support for the education of our children. As a member of the Riverdale School Board, I will work diligently to promote community understanding and unity through open and transparent Board actions.

I am also committed to assure that the Riverdale Grade School campus renovation is completed successfully and at a cost that can be supported by the Riverdale taxpayers. The community tax dollars must be put to good use and not wasted. We need to renovate the RGS campus, and must do so in a financially responsible manner. We must make every effort to create a new campus that is sustainable financially in the long term, and that keeps Riverdale as affordable as possible for young families.

It is now time for new leadership at the School Board level to re-unite the community and move it forward. I am ready to help lead Riverdale School District in the coming years, and I ask for your vote for Riverdale School Board.
