The court-mandated course “Parents Helping Children Cope with Family Change” offers information about legal issues, child development, conflict resolution strategies and community resources for people with custody and parenting time issues before the court.
This class is required for people with a domestic relations matter such as divorce with children or custody before the court (ORS 3.425).
The fee for the class is $70 per person. Please pay the fee and schedule your class online. If the online form does not work properly, you can register by phone at 503-988-3037.
You can also ask questions, obtain a fee waiver form, make payment and register for a class by calling Family Court Services at 503.988.3037. Please leave a message and we will return your call within a day.
Language interpretation-assisted classes are available at no additional charge at various times the second Friday per month. Please call our office to arrange for language interpretation or other special accommodation.
If you are at or close to the poverty line and have a case in Multnomah County, you may qualify to have your fees waived. To apply for a fee waiver, download the Parent Education Fee Waiver Form (21.22 KB), fill it out completely, and email (firstname.lastname@example.org) the form to us. At this time, Family Court Services isn't able to receive faxed or mailed forms. Please call 503-988-3037 if you aren't able to email the form.
Your registration is not complete until the registration fee is paid or waived by Family Court Services.
