Before You Submit

Contact our office. A planner will briefly go over your project with you, and let you know the next steps.

If your project requires a land use permit(s), you must obtain approval of the permit(s) prior to submitting your building plans for zoning review.

Submitting Your Plan

You are ready to submit your building plans if:

  • our Planner on Duty has given you a zoning checklist
  • you have obtained all applicable land use permits  for the property

Required documents:

  • Request for Zoning Plan Review & LUCS (1.24 MB) form
  • Site Plan
  • Floor Plan
  • Building Elevations
  • Service Provider Review Forms
  • Other information identified in your zoning checklist or land use permit

All documents must be submitted in digital form. Plans must be drawn to scale, either engineering or architect.

If you have followed your checklist and have all your required documents, you may submit your plan by email to LUP-submittals@multco.us

Our email system will not accept attachments larger than 25mb. Your email may have lower limits. If your attachments together exceed this total, you may divide them into multiple emails.

After You Submit

We will contact you in the order your email was received. If your request meets the basic requirements, you will receive an invoice with your application fees. The fees must be paid for the application to be considered ‘received’. See our fee schedule.

After your application is received, the assigned planner will send you a status update within 30 days. If you have not received a status update within this time, please email land.use.planning@multco.us.
