This proposal provides an on demand report from DSS-J on the length of stay in jail on pretrial matters for individuals by age classifications, charges, defendant, judge assigned (if any), and counsel for the parties.

DSSJ staff worked with MCSO to create a hybrid report: part MCSO, part DSSJ. Because the MCSO staff had already worked out the complexities of creating the base report that identifies inmates who have been in jail for 90 days or more. DSSJ staff worked out a system whereby: MCSO would continue to create the main report and send it to DSSJ staff members, who would then run the data through DSSJ to acquire the names of the assigned defense and deputy district attorneys.
