Senior Research Analyst
Lauren Brown serves as the Senior Research Analyst to the Council. As an analyst, Lauren works on a variety of research projects for LPSCC that utilize both statistical and geospatial analyses
Lauren holds a Master's Degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Portland State University, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Geographic Information Systems. During graduate school she worked as a research assistant for the Law Enforcement Contacts Policy and Data Review Committee (LECC); a governor appointed committee that works in partnership with Oregon law enforcement to ensure racial equity. She also interned with the Crime Analysis Unit at the Portland Police Bureau. Before attending graduate school, she completed her undergraduate education in biology at Oregon State University and worked at Oregon Health & Science University conducting alcohol addiction research for the Behavioral Neuroscience Department and the Portland Alcohol Research Center.
