We need everyone coming together to ensure that all residents in Multnomah County have a safe place to call home. The Oregon State Legislature  provides necessary support and investments in the important work we do at Multnomah County to prevent or end people’s homelessness, and it’s critical that they continue to build upon those investments.

One way to advocate for their continued support is to take a moment to send a note to your state legislator. It’s easy and can make a big difference.

First, use the “Legislator Lookup” tool to find your legislator, then send them an email or give them a call. Here’s a sample of a message you can share with your legislator:

One of the best ways to solve homelessness, is to keep people from becoming homeless. The Legislature should fund strategies Long-Term Rental Vouchers, affordable housing, and rent assistance, and support tenant protections to help move people into homes of their own, keep people in their homes and prevent homelessness.
