Juvenile Services Division (JSD) notified of positive COVID-19 case

March 9, 2022

Multnomah County’s Juvenile Services Division (JSD) was notified on March 8, 2022 of a County employee who was present at the Juvenile Services Division who tested positive for COVID-19.

The division continues to work side-by-side with Public Health Infectious Disease Control experts and Multnomah County’s Health Officer to take all recommended measures to best protect the health and safety of staff, youth, families and the community. This includes following guidelines set by the CDC, the state and local health partners to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in the workplace, including staying home if you are sick and continuing to properly wear masks.

COVID-19 test kits are now available for eligible employees. Tests are also available through COVIDTest.gov which provides every home in the U.S. four free at-home tests.

Get a vaccine. Get Boosted.

Public Health Officials continue to emphasize the importance of minimizing transmission and taking actions that work: get boosted, get vaccinated, stay home if exposed or sick, and wear a mask (More on masks here). Vaccination remains the single most effective tool at preventing serious disease.
