Multnomah County’s Juvenile Services Division was notified on December 29, 2021 of another employee who tested positive for COVID-19 — bringing the total number of positive cases at the Juvenile Services Division to seven in the past 12 days.
All individuals who meet the exposure criteria are being notified.
As always, Multnomah County’s Juvenile Services Division takes the health of all youth and staff at the division extremely seriously. Visitors to all Multnomah County facilities are reminded that masks are required. Health Officials continue to stress the importance of vaccination; staying home if you have any symptoms or feel ill; are waiting for COVID-19 test results, or have been around someone with COVID-19 in the past 14 days.
The Juvenile Services Division continues to work side-by-side with Public Health Infectious Disease Control experts and Multnomah County’s Health Officer. The division is taking all recommended measures to best protect the health and safety of staff, youth, families and the community. This includes health and safety guidelines established by the CDC, and state and local health partners to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in the facility.
