Multnomah County offices, libraries and clinics will be closed Friday, Dec. 23 due to winter weather.

December 22, 2022

Multnomah County offices and services will be closed Friday, Dec. 23, 2022 due to hazardous conditions caused by the winter weather. All essential workers should report to work at the usual time, taking extra time and care when they travel. Employees scheduled to telework will continue teleworking as usual.

All libraries, courts, in-person clinics, offices and Animal Services will be closed. Exceptions include the severe weather shelters and the Westside Pharmacy, which is open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Health Center appointments are shifting to telemedicine appointments only.

The severe weather shelters the County opened this week in response to the frigid conditions will also remain open as warming centers for as long as conditions dictate. Chair Deborah Kafoury asks the public, employees and managers to have patience as we try to maintain operations when some people may have experienced power, cell phone and internet outages that have made communication and some operations difficult.

People are urged to check Care for When it’s Cold, multco.us, or follow the County on Twitter Facebook, and Instagram for the latest updates.
