Multnomah County Elections offers an Order Ahead Replacement Ballot Service that allows voters to go online to multco.us/orderahead before visiting a voter service location to request a replacement ballot. Voters can request that their replacement ballot be mailed to them or that the ballot is ready for pick up at “Will Call” at one of our two voter service locations. Voters can pick up a replacement ballot at either the Voting Center Express inside the Multnomah County East Building at 600 NE 8th Street, Gresham 97030 or at Multnomah County Duniway-Lovejoy Elections Building at 1040 SE Morrison Street, Portland 97214

Sign up for Track Your Ballot 

Our popular Track Your Ballot service is now available in multiple languages! You can choose to receive ballot tracking alerts and updates in English, Spanish, Vietnamese, or Chinese. Get a virtual “I Voted” sticker after you return your ballot. Multnomah County voters can sign up by visiting multnomah.ballottrax.net. Thirty percent of registered voters are already signed up for this great service!

The May 18, 2021 Special District Election includes contests for positions on your local school board, community college, education service district, rural fire district and water district. Depending on where you live, you may have one or more of these contests on your ballot. You will also have at least one ballot measure on your ballot. Extended Evening and Saturday Hours Available at Both Voter Service Locations

Multnomah County Elections normal hours at both voter service locations are 8 a.m. - 5 pm. Monday through Friday. Extended and Saturday hours at both the SE Portland and Gresham locations are:

  • Saturday, May 15: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

  • Monday, May 17:  8 a.m. - 7 p.m.

  • Tuesday, ELECTION DAY, May 18: 7 a.m. - 8 p.m.

The Multnomah County Duniway-Lovejoy Elections Building is located at 1040 SE Morrison Street in SE Portland. The Voting Center Express inside the Multnomah County East Building is located at 600 NE 8th Street in Gresham. There is limited street parking and it is near TriMet bus routes 15 and 70. The Voting Center Express is a closer service location for more than 140,000 Multnomah County voters that live east of I-205. There is free parking and it is located near the TriMet Gresham Central Town Center MAX Station. 

Multnomah County Elections is following all safety recommendations provided by the state and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), including wearing face coverings and physical distancing guidelines. Face coverings are required when visiting our two voter service locations. Many voter services can also be completed online. For questions, please call 503-988-VOTE (8683).

Multnomah County Elections provides an interpreter, free of charge to anyone who needs help voting in a language other than English. Additional voting and elections information — available in nine languages — is online at mcelections.org.

Return Your Voted Ballot 

As a voter, you have two choices in returning your ballot. Vote early and return your ballot by mail. No stamp needed! Get your ballot in the mail to us by Tuesday, May 11 (earlier if you are mailing from out of state) to ensure it is received by our office on time. Postmarks do not count in Oregon. 

You can also return your ballot to an Official Ballot Drop Site. Return your ballot to any 24-hour Official Ballot Drop Site in the state or to any 24-hour Multnomah County Library Drop Site. All 30 Multnomah County Official Ballot Drop Sites are listed below and at multco.us/dropsites

No matter how you choose to return your ballot, it must be received by 8 p.m. on Election Night, May 18, 2021.

Multnomah County has 30 Official Ballot Drop Sites available now until 8 p.m. on Election Day for you to return your voted ballot. Official Ballot Drop Sites include all Multnomah County Library locations. Ballots will be picked up from library locations and Official Ballot Drop Boxes on a regular schedule.
