TODAY is Election Day. Ballots must be received before 8 p.m. tonight, May 18, 2021!

Today, May 18, 2021 is the last day to vote in the May 18, 2021 Special District Election. Ballots must be received before 8 p.m. tonight for them to count. It is too late to mail your ballot back, and postmarks do not count. Use an Official Ballot Drop Site to safely and securely return your voted ballot. Return your ballot to any 24-hour Official Ballot Drop Site in Oregon or to any 24-hour Multnomah County Library Drop Site. Find the Official Ballot Drop Site closest to you (Google Map). Ballots are continuously picked up from library locations and Official Ballot Drop Boxes by teams of sworn election officials throughout the day. These sites will close promptly at 8 p.m. All thirty of Multnomah County Official Ballot Drop Sites, including library locations, are safe and secure. Official Ballot Drop Sites in Multnomah County are listed below and at multco.us/dropsites.

Multnomah County Elections open until 8 p.m. for in-person voter services.

Multnomah County Elections will be open in both SE Portland and Gresham until 8 p.m., Election Day, May 18, 2021 to assist you in-person and over the phone. As a voter, you can replace a lost or damaged ballot or update your voter registration information. Voters with a disability can get assistance. Voters who speak a language other than English can get assistance in their preferred language. Elections staff are available for questions or other elections-related help. 

The Multnomah County Duniway-Lovejoy Elections Building is located at 1040 SE Morrison Street in SE Portland. There is limited street parking and it is near TriMet bus routes 15 and 70. The Voting Center Express inside the Multnomah County East Building is located at 600 NE 8th Street in Gresham. The Voting Center Express is a closer service location for the more than 165,000 Multnomah County voters who live east of I-205. There is free parking and it is located near the TriMet Gresham Central Town Center MAX Station. You can reach us by phone at 503-988-VOTE (8683).

If you do not need in-person assistance, we ask that you drop off voted ballots at one of our Official Ballot Drop Sites rather than a voter service location (Multnomah County Duniway-Lovejoy Elections Building and the Gresham Voting Center Express). While elections staff will be available at both the SE Portland and Gresham voter service locations for anyone needing in-person services, we are diligently working to keep lines down and adhere to physical distancing measures. Official Ballot Drop Sites (Google Map) are a great choice to get your ballot directly back to us. We will be available at both the SE Portland and Gresham voter service locations for those that need in-person service.

If you need to come in person, Multnomah County Elections is following all safety recommendations provided by the state and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), including wearing face coverings and physical distancing guidelines. Face coverings are required when visiting our two voter service locations. Many voter services can also be completed online

Order Ahead Replacement Ballot Service

Multnomah County Elections offers an Order Ahead Replacement Ballot Service that allows voters to go online to multco.us/orderahead before visiting a voter service location to request a replacement ballot. Voters can request a replacement ballot to pick up today. Voters can pick up a replacement ballot at either the Voting Center Express inside the Multnomah County East Building at 600 NE 8th Street, Gresham 97030 or at Multnomah County Duniway-Lovejoy Elections Building at 1040 SE Morrison Street, Portland 97214.

Our popular Track Your Ballot service is now available in multiple languages! You can choose to receive ballot tracking alerts and updates in English, Spanish, Vietnamese, or Chinese. Get a virtual “I Voted” sticker after you return your ballot. Multnomah County voters can sign up by visiting multnomah.ballottrax.net. Thirty percent of registered voters are already signed up for this great service!

Multnomah County has thirty Official Ballot Drop Sites available now until 8 p.m. today, Election Day for you to return your voted ballot. Initial unofficial election results will be posted and available on our website at www.mcelections.org shortly after 8 p.m. Updates to the unofficial election results will be posted as they are available.  The final official election results will be certified and submitted to special districts by June 7, 2021.
