Why did you join the MYC?
Joining the Multnomah Youth Commission has been one of the most life-changing thing I’ve ever done before starting high school. My inspiration rooted from other youth members who shared similar stories with me, and who are just as passionate about doing the work.
What are your passions/hobbies?
I am passionate about social justice, supporting women of color, and self-care. My hobbies include reading literature, creating art, and indulging in anything cat-related.
Name one youth you admire and why?
I admire Yara Shahidi because she is a successful young black woman who uses her platform to speak on many issues that the media doesn’t really shed light on. She is eloquent, intelligent, humble, and constantly glowing.
What are issues/movements that are important to you?
I am a supporter or any movement that fights for peace and liberty for those who are under oppression.
