Why did you join the MYC?
I was slowly changing, maturing, and finding myself, but I didn't have a place to dump every piece of me in. I knew joining the Multnomah Youth Commission would be the right choice because I started to notice the struggles that youth face in our community and society, and I wanted to use my voice and speak out for those who can't.
What is one goal you have for the next year on the MYC?
One goal I have for the next year is to expose myself more in politics and social justice as well as gain public speaking and advocacy skills. I also want to be able to share my understanding of complicated topics and listen to other people's points of view.
