Why did you join the MYC?
I joined the MYC in hopes of becoming a better, more grounded advocate, as well as a source of empowerment and encouragement for the other youth in my life.
What are your passions/hobbies?
Music (both writing and straight-up playing), poetry, and exploring new forms of media.
Name one youth you admire and why?
The youth that comes to mind for me is former youth commissioner Elexis Moyer, because they taught me to acknowledge and accept the aspects of my identity I struggled with, as well as to be an uncensored voice and source of strength for others.
What is an issue/movement that is important to you?
One issue that has always been incredibly important to me is mental health awareness — reducing stigma, normalizing treatment, and making resources equitable, affordable, and actually effective.
