Why did you join the MYC: I joined the MYC because most youth I know are so negative and uneducated about the government at all levels. I want to prove to my peers that “the people” can bring about change- even the people our society tends to value the last (youth of color, queer youth, low-income youth, trans youth, and youth in general)
What is one goal you have for the next year on the MYC?: This year, my first year on the commission, I hope to gain the tools I need to convince the youth in my neck of the woods (the outer SE/Rockwood area) that their voices mater as well as the tools needed to point them in the right direction to act on their opinions
