The Multnomah County Auditor's Office has received citizen complaints about harassing calls coming from a phone number that is owned by Multnomah County, but is currently not in use (not actively assigned to a county employee or department). It is possible caller ID spoofing may be taking place as the county is not configured to call from this number: 503-988-3019. Anybody getting unwanted calls from this number should contact the State Attorney General's Consumer Hotline at 877-877-9392.
