For the most current information about winter shelters in Multnomah County, call 211info by dialing 2-1-1 or visiting 211info.org.
With the temperature rapidly dropping and winter right around the corner, some of our most vulnerable citizens will need shelter. Thanks to a community partnership with Multnomah County, 211info.org, the City of Portland and other area nonprofits, various avenues of assistance are now available to those in need.
Since 2009, there has been an 8 percent increase in people experiencing homelessness in Multnomah County. Shelter and support services are expected to remain high in demand this winter season.
Please see the list below for details on winter shelter services available in Multnomah County and Portland this winter.
In the case of a Severe Weather Notice (when temperatures fall below 25 degrees Fahrenheit for several consecutive nights), visit or call 211 for up to date information. You can also contact 211 for information on how to donate to or volunteer at local winter shelters.
