Starting location: Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge Trailhead at the intersection of SE Milwaukie Ave & SE Mitchell St. There is a small parking lot at the trailhead and street parking available, and the trailhead is served immediately nearby by the Trimet 19 bus line, and the MAX Orange line is 0.5 miles away. There is a portable bathroom at the trailhead.
Departure & walk time: We will meet at 1:30 p.m. and begin our walk by 1:45 p.m. The walk will take approximately 45 minutes.
Walk details: We’ll be walking rain or shine! So check the weather before heading out the door, and plan accordingly. The walk route will be in neighborhood streets in Sellwood and will be wheelchair and stroller accessible. We plan to walk about 1.5 miles but will adjust based on weather and group needs. We will return to the trailhead and walk over to Coco Donuts(4790 SE Milwaukie Avenue) at about 2:30 p.m. for some coffee, donuts, and conversation with Commissioner Meieran.
