The Community Health Council (CHC) serves as the Co-Applicant Board of Directors for the County's Health Centers, as required by the Federal Bureau of Primary Health Care (BPHC).  The Council plays a critical role in assuring access to health care for our most vulnerable residents by providing oversight (in partnership with the Multnomah County Board of Commissioners) for County Health Center policies and programs within the scope of the Primary Care Grant.

The CHC is a patient-majority board with openings for either Multnomah County Health Center patients or non-patient community members that have a passion for helping their community access safe, high quality, and affordable healthcare.

If you are committed to sharing your time and talents to help make the world a better place, have specialized skills and expertise that could benefit our board's work, are willing to be an enthusiastic advocate for an organization dedicated to our community, and can encourage others to get involved, we want to hear from you!

For more information about the CHC and how to become a member, contact Linda Niksich, linda.niksich@multco.us or 503-988-9492.
