Debriefings (MCSO13-006): Records documenting law enforcement operations, which are distributed in order to improve communication. Records include, but are not limited to, mission sheets, after action reports and operations order records.
Retention: Retain 3 years. (OAR 166-150-0135(27))

Informant Case Files (MCSO13-004): Records documenting information about informants used by department personnel. May include reports, correspondence, payment records, fingerprint cards, signature cards, letters of understanding on informant activities, and related records.
Retention: Retain until superseded, obsolete, or no longer needed. (MOAR 166-150-0135(42))

Investigation Case Files (MCSO13-005): Documents ongoing investigations by sheriff's office officers and detectives. Records may include investigative reports, reports from other law enforcement agencies, background material, arrest and booking records, evidence, court orders and related records, interview notes, warrants, and related information.

Special Officer's Reports (MCSO13-002): Reports documenting special investigations by county peace officers. Report shows date, name of person(s) investigated, name of person(s) arrested, location of investigation, description of occurrences, witness name(s), evidence and custody narrative, and report narrative. May also include vehicle reports, property reports, and related background information, including police reports, booking and custody records, correspondence, and related records. These reports are microfilmed after they are closed unless they are sealed by court order.
Retention: Sealed records: retain according to the directive of the court; other records: retain permanently. (MOAR 166-150-0135(1))
