Removing loose gravel during final paving on NE Sandy Blvd.

The project team hopes to complete field work by October 26.

Work That Impacts Traffic

Final paving for NE Sandy Blvd. between NE 230th Ave. and NE 238th Drive in the cities of Fairview and Wood Village is happening between October 19 and 22, weather permitting. Please note that the paving will delay traffic at times, due to lane closures. There will also be brief delays at driveways on the south side of NE Sandy Blvd. during paving along the driveways.

  • Friday, October 19: The contractor completed paving in front of the WalMart store near 238th Drive.
  • Saturday, October 20: The north side of NE Sandy Blvd. will be paved. One traffic lane will be closed and flaggers will direct traffic on the one open lane. Expect brief delays during paving near driveways.
  • Monday, October 22: The south side of NE Sandy Blvd. will be paved. One traffic lane will be closed and flaggers will direct traffic on the one open lane. Due to the many driveways on the south side of NE Sandy Blvd., there will be delays up to 30 minutes for traffic using the driveways. Talk to the team on site to find out when the work will happen at your driveway.

Other Recent Work

  • In addition to final paving, the contractor has been weeding, grading and preparing the site for permanent seeding. Hydroseed and mulch were applied in some areas today.
  • Electrical work has been completed. The southside flashing beacon is ready to be turned on after the crosswalk striping is complete.

  • The contractor has been working on residential driveways and two commercial driveways on the south side. These will be paved during final lift of pavement on Monday.
  • The stripe contractor will place permanent pavement stripes on Tuesday.
  • The fence contractor is scheduled to place the fence by the trailer park on Wednesday .
