Why I joined the MYC?
I joined the MYC to get involved and make a difference in my community. I live in Rockwood, a neighborhood mostly known for gang violence, when the Youth Against Violence Committee (YAV) came and did a focus group at our local library’s Teen Council. I was amazed at the work they were doing to make a change, and I was inspired, so I joined the effort.
MYC Goal for the Year
One of my goals for this MYC year is to be more involved with the Youth Against Violence Committee. A personal goal I have for my self is to have a great freshman year and join leadership.
