Earthquake Ready Burnside Bridge
We are taking the lead in making the Burnside Bridge earthquake-ready. In 2026 we will complete key design work. The project will ensure we have a bridge that can withstand a major earthquake and remain open to all forms of travel.
We are adding titanium rebar to strengthen approaches to the Morrison Bridge, and replacing the motors and brakes that open and close the movable span.
Hawthorne Bridge Control System Upgrade
We are replacing the control system that opens and closes the Hawthorne Bridge and upgrading its electrical system.
Stark Street Bridge Replacement
We are collecting public input and developing alternatives to replace the Stark Street Bridge over the Sandy River.
