Election Day information in Multnomah County: Ballots due by 8 p.m. or mailed and postmarked by May 16, 2023, to be counted

TODAY is Election Day. Ballots must be received before 8 p.m. tonight, May 16, 2023, or mailed and postmarked by May 16, 2023, to be counted.
Today, Tuesday, May 16, 2023, is the last day to vote in the Special District Election. Voted ballots must be received at any county elections office in Oregon or Official Ballot Drop Site location tonight by 8 p.m., or mailed and postmarked by May 16, 2023, and received within seven days to be counted. You can use any Official Ballot Drop Site in Oregon to return your voted ballot, which includes 24-hour Multnomah County Library Drop Sites. Remember that because of library construction, the locations of five Official Ballot Drop Sites have changed:
- Albina Library: The Official Ballot Drop Site has been moved outside. It is located on N.E. Knott Street.
- Central Library: The Official Ballot Drop Site has been moved outside. It is located on S.W. 11th Avenue, on the west side of the library.
- Holgate Library: The Official Ballot Drop Site is located in the plaza of the Portland Mercado at S.E. Foster Road and S.E. 72nd Avenue.
- Midland Library: The Official Ballot Drop Site is located in the parking lot of the Hansen Building at N.E. Glisan Street and N.E. 122nd Avenue.
- North Portland Library: The Official Ballot Drop Site is located at N. Killingsworth Street and N. Kerby Avenue on the Portland Community College campus.
Ballots are regularly picked up from library locations and Official Ballot Drop Sites by teams of sworn election officials throughout the day. These sites will close promptly at 8 p.m. All Official Ballot Drop Sites in Multnomah County are listed at multco.us/dropsites.
Multnomah County Elections open for in-person voter services until 8 p.m.
Multnomah County Elections will be open in both Southeast Portland and Gresham until 8 p.m. tonight, May 16, to assist voters in-person and over the phone. Voters can get a lost or damaged ballot replaced or update their registration information. Voters with a disability can get assistance. Those who speak a language other than English can get assistance in their preferred language. Elections staff are available to answer questions or provide other elections-related help.
The Multnomah County Duniway-Lovejoy Elections Building is located at 1040 S.E. Morrison St. in Southeast Portland. The Voting Center Express is located at 600 N.E. 8th St. in Gresham, inside the Multnomah County East Building.
The Voting Center Express is a closer service location for Multnomah County voters who live east of Interstate 205. There is free parking at the Voting Center Express and is close to the TriMet Gresham Central Town Center MAX Station.
Order Ahead Replacement Ballot Service
Multnomah County Elections offers an Order Ahead Replacement Ballot Service that allows voters to request a replacement ballot online at multco.us/orderahead before picking it up from a voter service location. Voters still have time to request a replacement ballot to pick up today at either the Voting Center Express inside the Multnomah County East Building in downtown Gresham or at the Multnomah County Duniway-Lovejoy Elections Building.

The Track Your Ballot service is available in multiple languages! You can choose to receive ballot tracking alerts and updates in English, Spanish, Russian, Somali, Vietnamese or Chinese! Get a virtual “I Voted” sticker after you return your ballot. Multnomah County voters can sign up by visiting multnomah.ballottrax.net.
Initial unofficial election results will be available soon after 8 p.m.
Initial unofficial election results will be posted and available on our website at MultnomahVotes.gov shortly after 8 p.m. Updates to the unofficial election results will be posted as they are available. The final official election results will be certified no later than Monday, June 12, 2023.
