Aging, Disability, & Veteran Services (ADVSD) is looking for input from older adults to share thoughts and opinions related to your experience living in Multnomah County and services for older adults and people with disabilities. Your input will inform the goals and objectives in the 2021-2024 Area Plan on Aging.
The Survey is intended for Multnomah County residents and will be open through December 31, 2020. It will take around 40 minutes to complete. ADVSD is offering a $10 incentive for Multnomah County residents 55+ or people 18+ with disabilities who take the survey.
If you need assistance on the survey, any accommodation, or the survey in a language beyond those currently provided, please call the ADRC at (503) 988-3646 to leave a message and someone will follow up with you.
Background on Area Plan on Aging & Older Americans Act
The Older Americans Act of 1965 established the first national initiative aimed at providing services to older adults. The Older Americans Act states that each Area Agency is responsible for developing an Area Plan every four year period that describes the needs of the community, past initiatives, and future goals and activities for the upcoming years.
The 2017-2020 Area Plan demonstrated that the population of older adults is growing quickly in Multnomah County with East and Mid service area district populations increasing the most. The plan prioritized connecting, collaborating, and serving communities of color and other marginalized and underserved populations.
