The Community Advisory Committee for Multnomah County’s Sauvie Island/Multnomah Channel rural area plan will meet on Monday, August 4 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Sauvie Island Grange Hall located at 14443 NW Charlton Road, on Sauvie Island.  The public is welcome to attend.

The purpose of the meeting is to review the draft Rural Area Plan narrative and policies. The draft plan is a result of a year-long planning process that involved the Community Advisory Committee, a Technical Advisory Committee, and the broader community. The project looks at the key land use and transportation planning documents for the area. The rural area plan and policies are available for review on the project website (/simc-planning). A proposed schedule of public hearings for the plan before the county Planning Commission is available on the website.

Multnomah County is the local planning authority for the portions of Sauvie Island and the Multnomah Channel within the county.  For more information, visit the project website at /simc-planning. Email questions and comments to: simcplanning@multco.us.
