Multnomah County signs Good Neighbor Agreement on Health Headquarters in Old Town

June 6, 2018

Multnomah County is pleased to have executed a Good Neighbor agreement for the Gladys McCoy Health Department Headquarters in Old Town Chinatown.

The agreement was developed by and among the County, Transition Projects, Inc., Home Forward, Old Town Chinatown Neighborhood Association and the Pacific Northwest College of Art.

The stakeholders met, drafted a version of concerns and goals in 2017 and reviewed a final draft and signed and on May 25, 2018 formally entered into the agreement last week. The document sets out expectations for each of the parties and how the neighbors will collaborate going forward.

“We want to thank the neighbors who have welcomed the Health Department to Old Town. They have guided our plans and collaborated throughout this construction,’’ said Chair Deborah Kafoury. “We look forward to moving nearly 500 health professionals into the building by early next year and believe their numbers will boost the safety, vibrancy and future hopes for this historic district.’’
