Updated 7 a.m. with new information on court and clinic closures

Multnomah County offices, libraries, courts and Animal Services will be closed Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024, as poor travel conditions persist and are forecast to worsen this afternoon.

Mid County Pharmacy and Westside Pharmacy only will open 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to address critical patient needs. All previously scheduled medical and dental appointments will go to telemedicine.

There will be no Circuit Court hearings, trials or grand juries, and the courthouses will not be open. Jurors do not need to appear. Visit the Court’s website at www.courts.oregon.gov/courts/multnomah for more information. All court proceedings will be rescheduled.

The Board of Commissioners regular Thursday meeting will be virtual.

County employees who are essential to operations such as detention center and transportation road maintenance staff, are required to report to work as usual or may be required to telework. Other employees who telework are expected to telework their usual shift.

People are urged to check multco.us and the County’s Care for When It’s Cold page, and to follow the County on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for the latest updates.
