Tapiwa “TK” Kapurura
TK joined the Multnomah Idea Lab as the Immigrant & Refugee Policy Advisor. In this role, he explores practical solutions that improve policy, systems and environment in the immigrant experience. Coming to this center for policy and innovation reminded TK of the words from Margaret Mead, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world: indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” Outside work, TK is involved in the immigrant storytelling activities, radio broadcasting for a Portland station, and teaching some college summer classes on various topics of public interest. His roots are in Zimbabwe.
