Juvenile Services Division notified of another employee who tested positive for COVID-19

August 13, 2021

On Aug. 13, 2021, the Juvenile Services Division was notified that another employee tested positive for COVID-19. The employee was not at work when infectious, and it has been determined that there was no exposure at the worksite.

Multnomah County’s Juvenile Services Division takes the health of all youth and staff at the division extremely seriously. The positive case follows three positive cases at the division, over the past week. The division is working side-by-side with Public Health COVID-19 experts and the Multnomah County Health Officer. Staff continue to follow mask, distance and disinfection protocols and youth in custody are routinely offered vaccines for COVID-19.

Increases of COVID-19 cases are being experienced nationwide. Multnomah County continues to follow guidelines set by the CDC, and state and local health partners to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in our facility. Visitors to all Multnomah County facilities are reminded that masks are required.
