Juvenile Services Division notified of employees who tested positive for COVID-19

December 24, 2021

Multnomah County’s Juvenile Services Division was notified on December 24, 2021 that two employees in the Juvenile Services Division tested positive for COVID-19. One employee was not at work while infectious — and there are no identified exposures at the workplace from this individual.

All individuals who meet the exposure criteria from the second employee are being notified.

The Juvenile Services Division takes the health of all youth and staff extremely seriously. Since mid-December, three employees have tested positive for COVID-19 in the Juvenile Services Division.

The division is working side-by-side with Public Health Infectious Disease Control experts and Multnomah County’s Health Officer. Recommended measures to best protect the health and safety of staff, youth, families and the community are being followed. This includes health and safety guidelines established by the CDC, and state and local health partners to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in the facility.

Increases of COVID-19 cases are being experienced nationwide.
