TRAFFIC ALERT: N.E. 223rd Ave. between N.E. Sandy Blvd. and N.E. Townsend Way is closed due to a stuck semi-truck that’s blocking the icy road. Avoid the area. During this winter weather event, Multnomah County Transportation Road Maintenance has closed 16 County roads due to downed trees and power lines. Five have reopened so far. The Road Maintenance team estimates 40-50 trees have blocked at least a portion of County roads. Road Maintenance is extending 24-hour operations through 6 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 18 due to the ice storm.

Multnomah County Transportation Road Maintenance is in 24-hour operations. Crews are working 12-hour shifts to plow and sand the County’s roads. The County largely serves rural roads and some arterials.
