  • The vaccine will be provided at no cost to you
  • You do not need health insurance. If you have health insurance, bring your card.
  • You do not need to bring proof of eligibility or a social security number to get a vaccine. Some clinics may ask for ID.

Youth

People under 18 must get the Pfizer vaccine. We encourage youth to involve a parent or other trusted adult in their health care decisions; however, at age 15+ youth can make the decision themselves to get a vaccine.

Ages 12-14 require a parent or guardian’s consent and must have an adult with them at all times during the vaccine process. Read more about adolescents, teens and the COVID-19 vaccine»

Second and third doses

Most clinics and pharmacies will schedule you for a second dose if you need it, even if you didn't get your first dose there. Tell the provider you are getting your second dose. Get the same brand for your second dose as you did for your first. Talk to the provider about which brand is best for you if you cannot get the same brand.

Most Multnomah County Public Health clinics offer first and second doses only. To find out if you can get a booster or third dose, call your healthcare provider or 211.

Gift Cards

Through November 13, you can get a VISA gift card when you get a COVID-19 vaccine at many Multnomah County Health Department vaccination sites. Exceptions apply.

  • $100 first dose Pfizer or Moderna
  • $50 second dose Pfizer or Moderna
  • $150 one-time Johnson & Johnson
  • $50 Bring-a-Friend - If you’re already vaccinated and bring someone else (up to 8 people) to get their first or second dose (no third doses or boosters). You will need to show proof of your own vaccination.

The last day to get the first dose of the vaccine in time to get your second dose by November 12:

  • Pfizer - October 22
  • Moderna - October 15

At most locations, no identification is needed to get a gift card. But you will need to sign or initial a log saying you received it.

Exceptions:

  • Not offered at our Community Health Centers or Student Health Centers.
  • Adults accompanying youth aged 12-17 who are not their own children are not eligible for the “bring-a-friend” incentive.
