Narrator: In this segment, we will be covering handwashing. First, turn on the water. It should be warm but not too hot.

Wet your hands and apply soap. Rub your hands together for a minimum of 20 seconds. Pay attention to your palms, the back of your hands and fingertips.

Rinse your hands thoroughly and pat dry with a paper towel.

Turn off the faucet using a paper towel. Make sure you wash your hands after taking out the garbage . . .

. . . when changing tasks, after taking a break, between handling dirty and clean dishes.

Make sure you double handwash after using the restroom. Remember, you must double handwash after using the restroom, meaning once in the restroom and again when entering into the food preparation area.

Double handwash . . .

. . . after coughing or sneezing into your hands, if you come into contact with bodily fluids, before beginning or returning to work.
